Hello my loves and welcome to today’s blog and I ‘ve got a good one for my first treasure of 2017.
Have you seen the recent adverts on Facebook for the bottle that keeps your drink hot for 12 hours and your cold drinks cold for 24 hours? Those bottles are Sho Bottles and once I seen this advert I knew I had to try one.
Sho were kind enough to send me over one to try (they sent me two but you must be patient for that #sneakpeek)
I’ll start with the packaging and the bottle to start with and I have to say both were really funky. The packaging was fresh and cool with blue splatters of refreshing cool water and the spherical shape really adds something to package.
I love the mint green colour of the bottle and it is actually one of my fav colours! I love how it looks like the shape of a normal bottle even at the bottom. I also really like how the lid is almost a plastic, twist, cork lid.
Much better than a clunky,.outdated thermos that’s for sure. However does it stand up in the rest of it’s review?
The reason I wanted to try this bottle is because as a mum to two young boys there isn’t many times I actually get to enjoy a HOT cup of tea anymore (mum’s can I get an amen lol).
I have tried so many different products to try and help combat this and the best I have found so far was the Costa travel mug. Keeping my drink warm for 2 and a half hours before it becomes undrinkable.
I am not going to lie I was really dubious if it could actually keep my drink warm for the 12 hours it claimed!
Here’s what happened….
At about 5.30pm I decided it would be a good time to test out the bottle and get a cup of tea in there for after the boys had gone to bed. This was when I came across a problem in that I have a one cup kettle (boils one cup of water at a time in super quick time!!). The bottle didn’t fit under. Also you can’t really put tea bags in it so I had to make tea in a tea pot and pour it in to the bottle. Not very classy but I did find out it holds two cups of tea so that’s great! I also realised this would be the same for my coffee machine also (lol).
I forgot about the tea, oh the irony, and remembered at about 9.30pm that it was there. I had a sip and it was, seriously, just as hot as when I’d made it. I watched T.V while drinking a small amount and fell asleep.
The next morning at about 11am I realised it was on my dresser and thought hmmmm?
I poured a small amount over the back of my hand and I swear it was at a drinkable hot, not luke warm, hot temperature.
I was astounded that 17+ hours after I made it, here it was still warm! I really thought the 12 hours was a push and I honestly can’t recommend this bottle enough for so many reasons!! Steralised and used for babies milk would be perfect (taking into account precautions surrounding baby milk). Soups to take out for lunch and obviously tea or coffee. Or even for just around the house they’re brilliant.
That isn’t even taking into account that it also keeps drinks cold for 24 hours and to be honest I drank the cold drink in that amount of time but I have no doubt that it does!
Perfect for work, picnics, school or college it really is a great product! Mine is going to be invaluable. It also doesn’t get hot on the outside, the top is tight and the it’s made of metal so great for on the go. They do come with a lifetime garuantee so no need to worry there!
Finally the company donates 10% of all their profits to a fantastic cause Mary’s Meals which focus’ on feeding children and giving to those less fortunate. Another fantastic reason to get over to Sho and check out all their amazing products that includes a lot more than just bottles.
I would like to say a huge thank you to Simon over at Sho for being so generous in sending me this to try as it really is a game changer!
As always check out my Social Media pages so you’re always up to date with all my blogs and I will also be forever grateful!!
Lots of Love
