Trends 2017

Makeup and Hair Trends
Taking off in 2017

Hello my lovelies and how are you all today? Thank you so much for stopping by and you’ll be glad you did as I have been trawling!!!
What I mean by that is I have been searching the catwalks and designers to see what is likely to transfer over to the highstreet look! Meaning Fashion we can actually wear and this gives me great ideas for outfits for the coming months or year!!

The first thing that stood out and did all last year is fake piercings!!! Now if you know me, you will know I do have piercings however even I wear fake ones (lol)!
Last year the Kardashian/Jenner clan were the advocates of the fake piercing most of them adorning one at some point (cmon mama Kris lol). However just before Christmas Kim was spotted wearing a (fake) lip ring. Not only did the internet go into meltdown but I feel it solidified the fake piercing to this years wardrobe. With one piece of tiny jewellery I picked up from ebay for like £1 I can change my whole look!! PERFECT!

The next big thing I noticed across the catwalks was the LACK of eyeliner as we have come to love from 2016! Designers were going back to basics with pencil liner looks or leaving it off completely. A few outer eye flicks here and there but nothing as dramatic as we’ve seen. I’m not saying it won’t still be big but I do feel the fresh eyed look was really pushing through!

In harmony with this I noticed the minimal eye and bold lips look is really making head way this year (already rocked by both Taylor and Zoe)! Mostly a red lip however I noticed they had a lot of gothic influence with deep dark colours. I need no encouragement in letting my inner Goth out and can’t wait to see the looks that will be created with this, also making my own.

Also the no makeup look doesn’t seem to be going any where either! I’m glad about this as with 2 boys I can get this done in no time for the school run! Dewy natural looks with subtle lips and blusher for colour on the cheeks! Paired with the moussed, loose  curls or micro braid looks that were rife on the Spring catwalks. You could create a really natural beach babe look.

I also saw this achieved by adding only bronzer on cheeks and eyes for really subtle glowing look!

Hair is all about the curls this year it seems!! I am over the moon as I have natural curly hair so this is really achievable for me and I look forward to creating curly looks this year.  Also some 90’s classics are returning such as High pony tails. Again why not add some micro braids to yours to really stand out! Also wrap a small piece of hair around the band to tidy up the whole look.

Remember to check out catwalk collections for some great inspiration but also you can be 100% sure that the stand out colours, patterns, makeup and hair will more than likely transfer to high street fashion. Meaning us mere mortals can totally rock them and feel a million bucks!!
Thank you so much stopping by today and as a little sneak peek I will be covering some 2017 fashion trends in a blog soon. I will be highlighting the clear Fashion trends I noticed recurring on the catwalks! From this I (you can to) plan out any outfits in my head for the year ahead! (Yes I do this lol, seriously)

Please check out and follow my Social Media pages and you can keep up to date with all blogs I post. I am working towards more giveaways this year so don’t miss out!!

Lots of Love

I am a big fan of the minimalist make-up look! For me it’s mostly because I am lazy at putting it on, so at least I fit in better;)

    1. For me it’s time! I can take me over an hour for a BIG look so they’re saved for special occasions 😂😂😂
