Do I? Don’t I?

Hello you lovely people and how are you all today? I have to admit I am absolutely over the moon as I passed my driving test last week. Which took long enough but now it’s done and my world has opened up!!

Onto more pressing matters though and the debate I am having with myself. Should I change my carpets for hardwood? Should you change your carpet for hardwood flooring? Well I have been thinking about it.

I have a black carpet in my lounge which I love, yes it’s black. Now this was a decision made based on spilly children. Spilled food and juice I didn’t want staining a lighter carpet. The problem I have found though is those little bits, even after you hoover, as they show up immediately and there is still spillage of lighter liquids that still leave marks.

We also have a dog and he has claws (lol) and he seems to be wearing a mark when he goes on his scatty run around the house at 100000mph stints.

I mean hardwood if treated correctly won’t stain and are easier to clean than a carpet. Hoovering also becomes a doddle so maybe it’s time!

French Forest FloorsΒ have a great selection of available options but my favourite part is they focus on a ‘Forest to Floor’ practice. Giving you not just great quality but also the perfect product for you, I love this idea. They’re also major contributors to sustainable tree management programmes to keep out environment safe. That’s always a key factor to me when considering wood products.

All of their floors have that real farm-house feel but my favourite is the oak floorboards,

Beautiful colour and would work with so many different designs and styles of furniture. It makes my mind race with ideas, nice rug, new coffee table and wallpaper (lol).

Hardwood flooring is going to be so much more versatile without being limited by carpet colour. As I said for me the easyness of hardwood is what appeals the most! The fact it looks super fresh and stylish is the bonus right?

Are you looking to make the switch to hardwood? Do you have hardwood floors and can give some advice as I’m still undecided? Let us know in the comments below.

Lots of Love,
Tahnee
