Ten Pin Bowling
As many of you may have seen from previous posts I am taking part in Louise Pentland’s (SprinkleofGlitter) Mummy Dates Project. This is one of the said posts, however, if you’ve not read any others you can here and also here. I will give a quick recap though and it is just about spending quality time with your children one on one. No phones, Tv or any outside distractions.
Recently I was lucky enough to have a day where my eldest had a T.D day from school. My youngest however still had to go to nursery so it gave us a great chance to spend some time together.
Any parent in this position will know having that free time to spend with your eldest, who is at school full time is the hardest. It’s is also such a blessing to have some of that time back with your first baby.
My partner and I decided to take this time to go bowling with him. Know I am not too great on feet so I always just go for fun and fun we had.
My little boy won the first game so he was clearly thrilled at this. He also managed a lot of spares and this made him feel like a champion.
It was also a Monday morning so we had the whole place to ourselves it felt very VIP (lol) but there wasn’t anywhere to get any beverages or snacks, which we were a bit let down by (I really wanted a Slush drink, sad face). Especially on a hot day like it was but overall a great time was had.
Remember to squeeze anytime extra time you can with your children. It may be a cliche to say ‘They don’t stay little long’ but it sure is true. Also that one on one time, all those special moments will be the memories they cherish.
Enjoy it my loves.
Lots of Love,
Tahnee xxx

It’s not easy to be a parent and to give all the children equal time and attention, I am far from parenting so don’t understand much but reading your post made me feel nice about your date.

It is so hard to find the time for everything! These dates are usually a surprise and reminds him how special he is to us xx

being a mom doesn’t have to be boring and tedious. Sometimes it’s nice to take the kids out for a bowl to keep them distracted.

The emotion of spending the day with your child is sublime. Their world is so different. They dont know stress and they are happy. I have a great time learning from my little son, on what life is. I recently did a trip with him being cut off from any kind of modern day amenities on a drop dead gorgeous beach, tossing and turning up in the sand and sea.
