Autumn Bucket List

What I Plan to do
This Autumn

Hello to all of you wonderful people! I hope you are well and are ready to delve into some gorgeous Autumness! With October days away, I know I am and for this reason, I have decided to get a little Autumn bucket list together just so I can maximise my Autumn! I hope that if you love Autumn to you will find something new for your Autumn delight,

I love this time of year (as long as I am warm myself) and I really want to make sure that I make the most of it. Not only for myself but for my little family too. So here I am listing the 6 activities I am going to get involved in this Autumn. So here is what I plan to do this Autumn.

Pumpkin Picking

So anyone who knows me knows how much I love Halloween and I 100% get it from my mama!
We went to parties and dressed up at least twice each Halloween. There were times my Ma (what I call her) would dress up and scare the crap out of the kids trick or treating (lol good times).
However, I have yet to go and pick my own pumpkin and that is going to be rectified this year! I have already researched a Pick Your Own Farm here in Wiltshire but Google was a great help. I think my boys are going to have a great time checking out all the pumpkins and finally picking one of their own. 100% top of the list for me this Autumn!

A New Autumn Walk

So this year I was lucky enough to pass my driving test. All though I am very lucky with the country walks that are available, literally, on my doorstep. I want to take the family somewhere new and Autumn gorgeous this year. Perhaps somewhere with water or a lake. All the golden and crimson leaves setting ablaze the backdrop!
Flasks of tea and scrunching the leaves on the ground. All finished with warm blankets, snuggled on the couch. Absolute perfection!

Conker Hunting

Having lived in Wiltshire my whole life I can tell you that conker hunting is a staple to any of our childhoods. The same way blackberry picking is in the summer.
We would varnish, boil in vinegar and freeze these little bad boys to make the ultimate warriors in conker fights. Stood in the playground on a cold day getting smacked in the knuckle with a conker! Those really were the days.
I still take my boys every year to collect them. It does help we have about 20 of the trees across the road from us. But instead of fighting the boys play bowling with them instead (lol). Like I say those this is a staple to a Wiltshire Autumn.
I also will use some of them conkers for a project, more info below!

Autumn Display

So each year and with each passing season, I like to change the decorations on my table to match. In the spring and summer, I have a huge plate of dried flowers with fresh flowers in a vase, in the centre.
For Autumn the boys and I will collect lots of gorgeous leaves and conkers, acorns and pine cones. All those natural signs of Autumn and I will make a display with them.
Bringing Autumn right into my home which I just love.

Make Pumpkin Cakes
AutumnBucket_Cake

So last year was the first time I ever cooked with pumpkin and they went really well. I made them really simple with pastry. Stewed the pumpkin with some sugar and some cinnamon etc. This year though I want to make some cakes with it so we can also decorate them too. I’m going to have to look into it as I’ve never tried it before. But it’s defo on the list!

Hot Chocolate and an Open Fire

So this is an activity I have not enjoyed for years mostly because I have small children and the combo doesn’t go.
However, this year both my lads are old enough to enjoy this safely and it something that will happen! Even if it’s just a burning bin in the garden it’s happening (lol).
I love the crackle of the fire and being cosy and lush!!! YESSSSS.

So as you can tell I am already well on my way to Autumn madness and I can’t wait! I am currently putting together my Autumn Wardrobe. Also, I am working on some cute and easy Autumn makeup looks, so keep your eyes peeled for them.

I hope you enjoyed this post and it inspires you to make your own list. Go get your Autumn on! If you would like to keep up with how I get on with Autumn bucket list why not follow my social media pages where I will keep it up to date on this list.

Lots of Love,
Tahnee xxx

  1. I love this list! We don’t get too much fall foliage in Hong Kong and sometimes I miss it. Reading this reminds me of where I grew up. Thanks!
