Speed Dating and Other
Here we are again for another dating blog. This time we’re jumping out of that comfort zone and into dating events. But in this time of modern dating even dating events can be daunting. Speed dating and singles nights. It can never be a bad thing to have a few extra tips.
Here are my top 5 tips to make the most of any dating event you may face soon.
Have Questions Prepared
Whether you’re speed dating, at a singles night, or on the date. Have a list of questions or topics prepared. You have limited time also so you need the questions to be relevant to the relationship you want. Is children a must at some point? Do you work a lot and don’t plan to change that? Do you need someone who will be supportive of that? Be specific and use your questions and time wisely. Keep the conversation light and fun but probe away (lol)
Dress To Impress
As stated above most dating events have time-sensitive restrictions. This means ‘keeping it casual’ may not be an option when it comes to the wardrobe! I would put your best outfit on and make a little extra effort. I mean you want to leave a good impression in such a small time.
We as humans are just awful and are known to embellish when trying to impress. This is not a long-term plan. You end up not having much common. If someone asks you if you enjoy their hobby and you don’t say no! Be as honest as you can so nobody has to waste their time.
Stick To Soft Drinks
Although it may seem like a great idea to kill the nerves with a drink or two. However, our decisions while intoxicated can be mediocre at best. By all means, enjoy the night, but don’t get to sloshed. You want to be making coherent decisions or else you’re not making the most of your dating event.
Body language and understanding it can be key. We as humans use very clear signals for those we are attracted to. One major sign is speaking closely and physical contact. I would read up on it before going. This way you can make sure that you are A) giving out the right signals and B) looking for the right body language towards you.
The dating game has become a lot more complicated than a trip to the cinema and a kiss on the doorstep. So I hope these tips can be added to your dating arsenal.
