With Summer here we all tend to turn our minds to road trips, holidays or a sneaky weekend get away. Living in the Countryside, I always dream of bustling city breaks. Great history beautifully intwinned with mod-cons, stunning fashion and even one of the best restaurants or two! This is why I dream of London all this and then some really! With some of the best restaurants in the Country it won’t be hard to find the best places to eat.
Today, I’m going to share the ultimate list of the top 5 London restaurants that are a must if you’re going or planning a visit.
The Aqua Shard
There is no way we could top 5 list of London’s best restaurants without including the Aqua Shard. The restaurants located on level 31 of The Shard Building. The building alone is simply stunning and so impressive. Offering some of the most gorgeous, panaramic views of London whilst dining on some of the finest food London can offer. Such a romantic spot for that first date or that real wow factor to impress your partner on your anniversary. This is where you need to visit. Booking, obviously, is very fast so make sure to check their vacancies.
If your traditional sit at a table, eat and leave business is boring you. May I suggest changing your tradition? Roka, based in Soho, brings and authentic Japanese dishes and sushi to life. Their floor plan is unique and lively. With an open dining area and a central grill kitchen it really is the dinner with a show! The central kitchen is no distraction from excellent cuisine. No awkward silences at that dinner table!
The Gallery at Sketch
Yes, you may have seen the many Insta worthy pics of this restaurant splattered on your Insta feed. A masterpiece of interior design and decor. Throw backs to the quaint 50’s and married in a perfect unison with an ultra futuristic fifth element style. The Gallery at Sketch is flawless! A work of art created by David Shrigley and host to plethora of OTT on the celeb scale. Taylor Swift, Elton John, Kylie Jenner and so many more A listers. Offering not only stunning decor but wonderful afternoon teas of a such a unique variety. As well as a hreat selcetion of cocktails. It really is such a unique place it’s easy to see why it’s one of the best restaurants in London. 100% Insta worthy! Just to note there is a small dress code of a ‘sense of style and character’. Meaning your not getting in after your trip to the gym! Also children over 6 are welcome.
Monkey Temple – Restaurant Takeaway
An Indian take away restaurant. As we all know from experience some of the best places for food are those sneaky take out places. Run by families using generations of heritage for cooking and local within our communities. Never under estimate these little diamonds. Offering a huge array of great classic Indian dishes it would be rude not to!
River Thames Afternoon Tea Boat Ride
Yes, that is correct! Why not take in the stunning view along the river Thames and some of the best landmarks London has to offer. All whilst enjoying a fully loaded afternoon tea of sandwiches, cake, scones and unlimited amount of tea or coffee. Sounds like a dream but it needn’t be!
