How To Help Ageing Skin Become Youthful?
Facial skin is massively important. I don’t just mean that in the sense of keeping your face stuff where it’s meant to be either. It can have a huge effect on our confidence and at times skin problems, such as acne or scarring, can control our lives. In an ever-expanding beauty world, there are a plethora of creams, lotions and potions that all claim to have the answer. How many anti-ageing creams have you bought and they’ve literally not worked at all? Yeah me to girl! So how do we treat our ageing skin and stop it? How do we help our skin appear youthful once more? I’m coming close to 30 and I see those fine lines becoming deeper, slightly freaking out hahaha. If you are too or are just looking for fresh youthful skin keep reading to find the answer.
Why Don’t Anti-Aging Creams Work?
Now, I do realise how broad a statement this is and there are some great creams that can help aid in a clearer complexion. However, most creams that are offering to rid you of those fine lines or wrinkles. The ones that claim to have that miracle ingredient to give you skin 10 years younger. Most of them don’t work. In fact, let me know the ones you’ve purchased that have been more than useless below! Do not fall for the made-up words they create with “Neuro-blasting cell rejuvenation”. See it really is that easy to make up! Plus most anti-wrinkle creams are more than likely mostly moisturiser. As we know this is not an ingredient that will help with your anti-aging process. Most contain retinol but actually, most will not be able to have enough to have the anti-ageing effect you’re looking for. So where do you go from here? Do you pay more and more for miracle creams?
Why is My Skin Aging?
The first thing we need to know is why the skin is ageing. Sadly, the answer is really simple. After the age of twenty, your body produces less of the good stuff that keeps your skin looking young. Less collagen, less elastin production and as I said all the good stuff that keeps your skin looking younger and wrinkle-free. Then each year the production of these vital ingredients becomes less and less as you age. So, how do we combat that? Or at least slow it down enough to a speed we’re comfortable with.
Botox or Fillers?
I mean botox injections or fillers is always a choice but the side effects, pain and long-term commitment are all things to take on board. With so many of our fave celebs literally looking like different people nowadays this is an extreme step for beauty. Especially when there are other treatments available that are so much less invasive.
The wonder that is Microneedling is here ladies and gents. Yes, the dermapen technique uses the Chinese tradition of acupuncture to achieve incredible anti-ageing results. Using small needles to target problem areas where fine lines and wrinkles are. It tricks the skin into thinking those areas need “repairing”. Your skin reacts by “healing” the area and increasing your own natural production of collagen and elastin to do so. The area will then thicken, tighten and reduce your wrinkles and facial lines. The aim is to almost open the pores a little and then let the body heal the opened pore itself.
Who Else Can Use It?
This particular technique can also be used for various other skin ailments such as scars or stretch marks. This would be a great treatment for acne scarring without false promises. I think that it would also be great for those (regardless of gender) who struggle with stretch marks. It can really knock your confidence and make yourself body conscious. If that’s you perhaps this is the answer you’ve been looking for.
Is it too good to be true? NO!!! if you would like to check out more then you can find out everything you need to know here. I for one will 100% be looking into this further as I promised myself no big anti-ageing procedures until I’m at least 30! Not sure why I have that personal rule in place but I do so….(lol).
I do hope this may have helped some of you who have been struggling with their ageing skin journey. I know I have no intentions to grow old gracefully but each to their own right! Let me know below if this sounds right up your beauty street? Or is it a no from you?
Lots of Love,
